Her Leader effect draws 1 card whenever you play a Character during the opponent's turn — whether via Trigger, Blocker, or Counter activation. This turns every defensive play into card advantage, creating a resource engine that sustains long games. Blue's bounce and stall tools combine with Hancock's passive draw to exhaust the opponent's hand while you maintain full resources. The deck specializes in outlasting aggressive decks and winning the resource war in games that go to turns 8–10.

Tips for playing Boa Hancock

1. 1

   The Leader's draw effect activates during the opponent's turn only — maximize plays in that window. Triggers from life cards and Blocker activations both count.

   Keep at least 2 Blockers in hand at all times. Blocking draws a card; the card drawn might be another Blocker, creating a chain that can draw 3–4 cards in a single opponent's turn.

   Blue bounce effects are best used at the start of the opponent's turn (via Activate Main) before they can replay the bounced Character. Remove the threat, then let it cost them DON!! again.

   Mulligan for your lowest-cost Character searchers. The deck wins through consistency — arriving at key cards one turn early decides close matchups.

5. 5

   Against combo decks (Moria, Roger), bounce the setup pieces (Thriller Bark Characters, Gol D. Roger search tools) rather than the finishers. Disrupting their setup is more efficient than answering their threats.
